7x7 Zip Puzzles
One more row and column: 49 cells and longer routes to plan.
About the 7x7 Grid
The 7x7 grid has 49 cells to fill, making it an advanced beginner-level challenge. Every cell must be visited exactly once as you draw your path from the first number to the last.
Who it's for: Players who solve 6x6 boards comfortably and want a longer route without jumping straight to 64 cells. It is also good practice for the official LinkedIn Zip, which often serves 7x7 boards, especially later in the week.
Approach: Corners and edges hold most of the forced moves, so settle those first. Then treat each pair of consecutive numbers as a short leg and check that the cells around it can still be reached later. Seven columns do not split evenly, so a back-and-forth sweep that covers two columns at a time always leaves one column over. Plan where that last strip fits before you commit to a long sweep.
7x7 Difficulty Levels
Choose the challenge that matches your skill
easy
Plenty of numbers to steer you and few dead ends that stay hidden for long. A comfortable first step off 6x6.
medium
Fewer numbers, more walls, and tempting shortcuts that only fail a few moves later. Expect to backtrack now and then.
hard
Fewer numbers still, often no walls at all, and routes that look right until late in the board. Plan the whole path before you draw.
